St. George’s offers an Adult Forum of Christian education for adults every Sunday morning in the church basement at 9am from September through May. The class shares video and book studies as the group chooses topics of interest to them. All are welcome to attend any class whenever they have a free Sunday Morning.
Thursday Bible Study
St. George’s offers a bimonthly Bible study on the second and fourth Thursday of each month from 7 to 8:30pm. The group meets in the church basement and studies the scripture readings which will be read at the following Sunday service. Everyone is welcome to join in any study session when they have the time.
This is a group of women whose interest and emphasis is prayer. They meet weekly on Wednesday evenings. The first hour is spent in sharing and visiting, followed by intercessory prayer for those who have asked for special prayers. A prayer chain is activated when special needs occur.
Once a month, St. George’s offers a healing service at the close of the two Sunday Eucharists. All who desire healing prayers and Holy Unction for their own needs or for the needs of those they love are invited to remain in the pews when the congregation is dismissed at the end of the Sunday services at 8am and 10am. The particular Sunday for the Healing service varies each month but it is announced in the monthly parish newsletter and information about the healing service can be obtained by calling the church office.
Anglican Discovery Class
Discovery class invites participants to ask questions, engage in dialogue, and link one’s spiritual journey to the Anglican (Episcopal) tradition. During the class we explore some of the basic components of the Christian faith as well as the essence of what it means to be an Episcopal Christian in today’s world. The class utilizes lecture, outside reading, video, and group discussion. If you are interested in the Anglican Discovery Class, please contact the church office (223-1942).
